
About Mark Urry
Originally from Portsmouth, Mark has had quite a varied life. Numerous jobs from sales to working in a fun fair. He has attending Colleges and Universities in Tottenham and Salford. Mark is also a fully qualified Bus driver, where he said he really experienced the stresses, strains and anger of everyday life!
Mark then Joined in Royal Navy as an Air Engineering Mechanic. Originally working on the Sea Harrier and then the Lynx helicopter as a specialist in radar and communications. He left the Navy after 12 years service. He has been deployed all around the world and says his highlight was watching the sunrise from the top of Mt Fuji in Japan. Mark lives near Bath with his wife and 3 children.
In his spare time Mark worked for a year with Off the Record BANES, as an volunteer Information Support Worker. It was during this time that he saw a need for an effective and specific course covering all aspect of anger management.
Mark has witnessed the effects of stress and anger particularly within the family due to separation and difficult working conditions. Since attending the Beating Anger 2 course he experienced the positive changes that can come from attending the course.
He is also undertaking a counselling course through Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Mark says his family, faith and to ‘have a positive impact on people lives’ are the three reasons for becoming a facilitator of Anger Management courses.
